We currently have no vacancies. If you believe you meet our eligibility criteria and would like to be considered for future vacancies, please review the information below and complete an application form.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• be women aged 50 or over;

• live within the College’s Area of Benefit, which covers the dioceses of Bath & Wells, Exeter, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Truro and Winchester;

• be in housing need; and

• be capable of independent living.

Applications are considered by the Trustees in accordance with the College’s governing scheme and charitable objectives. In assessing applications, Trustees will consider an applicant’s circumstances, housing need and suitability for almshouse living.

Please note that all accommodation is for single occupancy.

What is the Area of Benefit?

The College’s governing scheme requires applicants to live within its Area of Benefit. This is the geographical area from which the College may accept applications and reflects the charity’s historic links across the South West of England.

Applicants do not need to live in Salisbury or Wilton in order to apply.

Our Accommodation

The College provides almshouse accommodation at its sites in Salisbury and Wilton.

Our homes are intended for women who would benefit from secure, affordable housing and who are able to live independently whilst enjoying the security and companionship of a small community.

The College currently provides accommodation for 27 women across its Salisbury and Wilton sites.

Some properties may not be suitable for applicants with significant mobility needs. We are happy to discuss the suitability of individual properties as part of the application process.
